My background is in education, having been a teacher for many years, including 12 years as head-teacher of a Leeds primary school.

Mr P. Murphy
(Foundation Gov.)

"Hello!

As a past pupil at St Francis of Assisi I have a strong motivation to repay the school’s investment in me as a child and feel I am best placed to do this at the head of a strong Governing Body.

I work closely with Mrs McGrath and the governing body to ensure that we achieve the best possible outcome for all of our children across all year groups.

I am a regular visitor to the school and enjoy seeing the children develop as they progress through their journey of education supported by the catholic ethos."

Miss C Gregory

Mrs S Thompson
(LEA Gov.)

"Hello,

My name  is  Sheila Thompson, I am a newly appointed  LEA Governor. I am a practising Catholic and I am a parishioner of St Francis  Of Assisi.

I will work to fulfill my responsibilities as a Governor and hope to  assist the school  in any way that I can."

Mrs. J McGrath
(Headteacher)

"Hello!

As Headteacher, I am very pleased to be a part of the Governing Body. School Governors are volunteers, who give up their time to help run the school.

Together, we make decisions about all areas of managing the school, from looking after the building and budgets, to keeping a close eye on how the pupils are being taught, how well they are learning and how they behave.

As a Governing Body, we discuss issues and make decisions about plans for the future of the school. The School Governors support me as Headteacher and also check that I am leading the school in the right direction, by asking questions about all aspects of school life."

Mrs N Santos
(Parent Gov.)
